Once you have decided that the Auscol collection service is "The Right Way",
our representative will discuss the optimum solution for you. We will consider
the aspects of your business that are unique. This includes: the
amount of oil to be collected, the most suitable site for our bulk bin,
access to your site, access to power, and your current method of oil
disposal. Where possible, we will visit the location.
Based on the information provided regarding the location, Auscol provides
each customer with a small site storage tank. Generally, bin volumes
are 210 litres and 410 litres. For customers who produce large amounts
of used cooking oil we can provide the Oil Kaddy® which can hold up to
1 tonne of oil.
Auscol receptacles are simple to use, on wheels for ease of
movement, easier to keep clean than drums, and safer to work with due to their
large openings. The receptacle is delivered by one of our drivers who is qualified to
train your staff in the use of the bin. This step is important because it keeps the oil
contaminant-free and reduces the likelihood of injury to your staff when using
the receptacle. Receptacles are maintained and cleaned by Auscol staff. However,
we do recommend that customers follow their own good housekeeping procedures in
relation to used cooking oil storage bins.
When you dispose of the used oil your staff simply drain the oil into the receptacle.
Depending on the bin selected, this can be manual, fully automatic, or in-line.
On the day prior to your scheduled pick up our representative will ring to switch on the bin inside the receptacle to liquify its contents. The base of each tank is fitted with a heating element so that fats are heated to 45 degrees Celsius and become liquid for ease of collection. The Auscol driver visits your premises and empties the receptacle using a
vacuum tanker. The driver wipes down the bin to maintain a neat appearance and reports
any necessary routine maintenance.
Trucks meet the requirements for controlled waste and in many instances are EPA-licensed.
Each collection is recorded on our database. This offers complete traceability in the case
there is some form of contamination issue after the product is recycled.
